Meet Mitch

With more than three decades of leadership overseeing various building supply entities, Mitch brings exceptional expertise and invaluable insights to BRT. He is experienced in multiple sectors of the industry including Lumber, Gypsum Products, Waterworks, Concrete Additives & Supplies, Roofing, Hollow Metal Doors & Frames, Security, Firestopping, and Retail Building Supplies.

After a distinguished career in the building supply industry, including his tenure as President of Calgary’s The Cedar Shop, Mitch Wile has launched Business Round Table Leadership Inc. (BRT). This innovative training initiative is designed to drive growth and excellence in the building materials sector. Having successfully piloted BRT in Calgary over the past three years, Mitch is now expanding its reach nationwide, supporting business owners, managers, and successors with practical, hands-on leadership training.

BRT sets itself apart with its collaborative and interactive approach. Group “Boardroom” sessions foster open discussions among participants, focusing on fiscal responsibilities and best practices for managing and growing a business. The program also offers mentorship, follow-up guidance, and straightforward financial reviews, helping participants build strong vendor partnerships and implement strategies for sustainable growth.

A seasoned leader in Canada’s building industry, Mitch Wile achieved significant recognition in 2023. Business in Calgary magazine named him one of Calgary’s Top 20 Business Leaders, and Hardlines magazine honoured The Cedar Shop as Canada’s Best Contractor Specialist Store.
